Internet Radio

Back in the late 60's FM Radio and "Free Format Radio" was born. The also labeled this "Underground Radio" I loved it because I got to listen to much harder rock music that wasn't allowed on most radio, especially on the popular AM Radio. Music considered too long for radio was also played on these stations. Progressive Rock music always had very long songs in running time and I got to hear it on these stations. Soon "Free Format" became "Album Oriented Rock" and eventually most of these stations were bought up by corperate radio and they had their controlled playlist and Free format Radio died. Sattelite Radio came long and this was better than broadcast radio, but it cost money to listen too. Along comes Internet Radio and once again Free Format Radio is back and Internet radio is practically free too, Just the cost of the internet connection. The stations themselves don't charge and exist on advertising or donations. The only threat to us is the Recording Industry Association of America whom are trying to push through Congress a hike in royalties fees and if this happens it might destroy Internet Radio and access to almost free free format radio. If you don;'t want this to happen fire off e mails to your congressmen or women and the senators letting them know you don't want this to happen.
